MARION - The Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois board officially voted to recommend a change in airline service at tonight's board meeting.

The board voted to request Contour Airlines to begin flights to and from Chicago at Veterans Airport.

Currently, Cape Air is the only air provider operating out of Veterans Airport with flights to St. Louis and Nashville.

The only other provider in discussion was Southern Airlines.
