Three injured in Franklin County rollover crash

FRANKLIN COUNTY - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has released more information after multiple people were injured in a rollover crash on Wednesday night.

According to a media release, the accident occurred on South County Line Road approximately ¼ mile west of Old Marion Road.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies learned a 2006 Ram truck, driven by a 17 year old male juvenile, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times before coming to rest on its top.

The driver and front seat passenger, Charles Foote, 51, of West Frankfort, both fled the scene. Two passengers, Marocka Greenlee, 43, of Kankakee and Sydney Rich, 21, of West Frankfort, were both ejected from the vehicle.

A fourth passenger, Logan Brymer, 20 of West Frankfort, was able to exit the vehicle after the crash.

Greenlee and Rich were both transported to Carbondale Hospital with major injuries. Brymer was transported to Herrin Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was later located at Franklin Hospital when he sought medical attention for minor injuries. He was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident and Illegal Possession/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Foote has not been located at this time.

FRANKLIN COUNTY - Three people were injured following a rollover traffic accident last night in rural Franklin County.

The accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday night on County Line Road just west of Old Frankfort Road.

Preliminary accident reports indicate a vehicle traveled off the roadway and rolled over into a field. Several people were reportedly ejected from the vehicle.

Three victims were transported by ambulance from the scene. The extent of their injuries was not available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
