Man arrested for shipping 5 pounds of crystal meth from California to Marion, IL

MARION - The Marion Police Department has arrested a man for methamphetamine trafficking after being found to have been responsible for shipping nearly five pounds of crystal methamphetamine from California to Marion, Illinois.  

According to Marion Police, the MPD Narcotics Unit arrested Jared Shepherd on November 22nd. The DEA and Williamson County Sheriff’s Office participated in this event.

Police say Shepherd was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, he was found to be in possession of additional methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging equipment, methamphetamine manufacturing equipment and US currency.

Shepherd was taken to the Williamson County Jail where he will be detained pending future court proceedings.
